Mtatsminda Plateau Project is a development of a prominent multifunctional building in Tbilisi, former restaurant Mtatsminda building of around 7,000 m/2, located on the hill of Mtatsminda (Holy Mountain), which dominates the center of the city. Initially, the three-story building was constructed to replace an old upper station of the Funicular (a mountainous cable-operated railroad (501 meters) with upper and lower stations) located at an altitude of 727 meters above sea level, in 1936-1938. A “different” and most beautiful structure of the building had become a symbol of Tbilisi.
Up from the hill, a giant terrace provides a panoramic view of the entire city and the building can be viewed from all around the city. Surrounded with approximately 60 hectares (approximately 150 acres) of beautiful Mtatsminda Park, This property is considered the historical and architectural landmark of Tbilisi and for the decades had largely been most favorite place for the locals and the guests of the city, combining in itself finest dining facility with family leisure/vacation hub.
GMT Group (GMT Mtatsminda, LLC) plans development of the property into a “destination attraction” capable of appealing to the widest possible range of domestic markets and a tourist attraction for the visitors by redevelopment of the premises into the most luxurious entertainment center comprising a range of F&B outlets, function, banqueting, conferencing and other entertainment/recreation facilities.
