An unseen painting by Roman Kriheli is already stirring interest from celebrity collectors. Kriheli, whose fans include Lenny Kravitz, will unveil a portrait he calls “The Most Beautiful Woman in the World” within a month. But until then, he’s keeping the identity of the painting’s subject a secret. (Sources told Page Six it’s based on several ladies, including Dasha Zhukova.) Art writer Malcolm Harris reports that those inquiring about the work, which could fetch $1 million, so far include Mark Zuckerberg, YouTube mogul Chad Hurley and Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili, who owns one of the world’s most valuable art collections.

Samsung Electronics Co.005930.SE +0.39% and LG Electronics Co.066570.SE +0.70% are looking at installing a “kill switch” on mobile phones and tablets that would make the devices inoperable if they are stolen.

The function is designed to discourage phone theft by enabling a manufacturer and carrier to lock the smartphone or tablet even if a SIM card is replaced or the firmware is hacked.
South Korea’s Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning said last week it is in talks with the two phone makers about introducing the function to new smartphones, likely from early next year, to curb rising phone theft.
