I’M RONALDO AND I’M HAPPY
7/5/2007 11:20:00 AM
February, in the press conference during his official presentation to Milan, Ronaldo declared: “I want to prove that my story is not over.” And he proved this. Today he declared: “I will return the world’s number one…”
RONALDO TO THE GAZZETTA DELLO SPORT:
“Ricky does not need any suggestions: he knows well enough that he is in the great club in the world and that Milan gave him everything. In New York, I dined with him, we did not gon into detail about the Real Madrid offers, but he told me that he will be loyal to Milan. He’s calm and even I am: I don’t think that he will change. I started following Pato last year during the World Club Cup against Barcelona, he’s still very young, but he does amazing tricks and has great potential: he will have an incredible career. The atmosphere at Milanello would do well to Adriano, there everyone help each other and collaborate. I often talk with Adriano, we’re good friends. I know that he has problems, but I cannot discuss them publicly. If he decides to come to Milan, he will surely be welcome. I admired Inzaghi, but never envied him. Even he suffered a lot in the past and he was able to return to high levels. Just like I am trying to do. And then the triumph in Athens was not only of Inzaghi, but of the entire group which was exceptional. It would be nice to arrive to the Moscow Final, but I only do a step at a time. Now he will start laughing, but today my objective is that of making the best summer training camp of my life. Only this way I will return to be the world’s number one. Now I will give my best to my club. Milan has given me back the happiness and maybe they cannot even understand the good that this did to me. I don’t forget this.”
RONALDO TO THE CORRIERE DELLA SERA:
“I’m in a unique moment of my career. I owe everything to the club, it was a great bet which went well, both theirs and mine, and I want to be ready for the training camp. It will be the best one of my career. I never had 50 straight days of holidays since I’ve been playing football. Milan already has the strongest attack in the world, already this way. The atmosphere at Milan is fantastic, I never found myself so well. The arrival of Tognaccini here in Rio was an offer which I accepted straight away, not an imposition. It’s too early to talk about the contract’s renewal. I can only repay Milan with many goals and wins. I repeat: it was a bet which we all won together.”

Real Zaragoza Net Ricardo Oliveira - Report
Radio Marca are claiming that Real Zaragoza have reached an agreement to sign Ricardo Oliveira from Milan.

The Brazilian does not feature any more in the Rossoneri's plans, and will return to Spain after just one season in Italy.
Reports from Italy suggest various clubs from Spain are interested in signing him, with Villarreal and Real Zaragoza leading the race.
However, Radio Marca are claiming that Zaragoza have already won the race, having reached an agreement with the Milan bosses.
Oliveira had caught the eye of the Milan scouts in the past season, following two impressive years with Real Betis, where he scored 27 goals from 46 matches played.
However, the Brazilian player failed to live up to the expectations as his lack of goals cost Milan important points in the early part of the season.

Chelsea Bid For Pato Accepted
Alexandre Pato could be on the way to Stamford Bridge after Independiente reportedly accept an offer from the West London club.
zoom - galleria 17 year-old Brazilian forward Alexandre Pato may be on World Under-20 Championship duty in Canada at the moment, but his next port of call could be Stamford Bridge.
The young Internacional striker has been subject to monitoring from Real Madrid, Inter, Milan and Chelsea, and each club has made an official approach for the player. However, it is understood that Chelsea's offer is superior.
With a bid in the region of 20 million euros (£9.9m), the Blues may yet have the best chance of landing the Parana-born youngster, who has already established himself as a regular with the Copa Libertadores holders.
Pato's agent, Gilmar Veloz, is looking to move his client on and is expected to travel to London with the player's father to strike a deal with the Chelsea hierarchy.
The agent stated that gaining a work permit could be problematic, but also emphasised that the options are still very much open for Pato, saying, "We have not decided whether he would go to Chelsea, Milan, Inter or Real Madrid."
This could potentially be the start of a bidding war, but at the moment Chelsea seem to be the favourites to land "The Duck." The player is still under 18 and cannot legally move, but all clubs concerned will seek to tie up his signature before his birthday on 2 September, at which point he can join his new teammates.

Ancelotti demands Pato push Thursday 5 July, 2007
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti has reaffirmed his desire to bring Brazilian starlet Alexandre Pato to the San Siro.
Ancelotti has been in Canada watching Pato play for Brazil’s Under 20 side where he earned his hype with a brace against South Korea.
“The kid really is very good. He’s young, but you can see that he has the ability to become a real phenomenon,” the ex-Juventus tactician said.
Copa Libertadores winners Internacional are reportedly keen to sell the man nicknamed ‘The Duck’ and have set a rescission clause on his contract at around £10m.
However, any transfer attempt will be made difficult by FIFA’s rule that prevents international transfers of players under 18. Pato may have to wait until his birthday on September 2 to make the move.
The other headache at Via Turati is the number of other sides looking to sign the gifted youngster. These clubs reportedly include Inter and Chelsea.
Pato’s agent Gilmar Veloz has confirmed that Inter, Milan, Chelsea and Real Madrid have all made offers.
Although Chelsea are believed to have bid the highest at around £10m, Veloz insists nothing is decided.
“We are looking at the options and we’ll sit down with Internacional and after that we’ll know about his future,” he stated.
Ancelotti’s hopes of winning the race for his signature will be boosted by Pato’s statement that he would love to play alongside Ronaldo and Kaka.
Milan also have the reassurance that it is notoriously hard to get a work permit to join an English side.
“Anderson got a permit to play for Manchester United because he’s known as a player of outstanding quality – I don’t know if Pato will be treated the same way,” Veloz concluded.
