Carletto admits Kaka doubt Tuesday 23 October, 2007

Milan Coach Carlo Ancelotti is ready for a tough test against Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday and reveals that Kaka's chances of playing are 50-50.
The Rossoneri have a lot to prove after last weekend’s defeat against Empoli intensified their dismal start to the Serie A campaign.
Having lost to Celtic in their last Champions League outing, Ancelotti knows that Milan must see off Shakhtar at the San Siro, but expects fierce opposition.
“Shakhtar have changed a lot from last season,” he stressed.
“They have added quality in the midfield and they play varied football based on Brazilian-style possession play.
“It won’t be our usual home game as they have no weak links and we will just have to outplay them.”
The visitors will have two familiar faces in ex-Livorno hitman Cristiano Lucarelli and former Inter boss Mircea Lucescu.
“It will be a tight game and Lucescu will make it hard for us as he has a knowledge of Italian football and Milan,” Ancelotti continued.
The biggest fear for the European champions is a lack of firepower as Brazilian ace Kaka is still struggling with an injury.
“There is a big question mark over Kaka,” the ex-Juventus boss grimaced.
“He has had a pain in his knee since he returned from Brazil’s qualifier. We have one day and we will have to see if that is enough time to recover.
“We are on the eve of a big game and our two strikers are going through tough times like the rest of the team, but I trust them.
“Over the last few years we have never had a target man as such and we got the results anyway. You can win games without one.”
Australian goalkeeper Zeljko Kalac steps in for the suspended Nelson Dida and Ancelotti has every faith in the understudy.
“He is a worker who knows his role and won’t have a problem dealing with the situation,” he concluded.
