The Brazilian playmaker has put in some shocking performances for the Catalans this season as revelations about his party lifestyle and reluctance to train keep emerging.
Recent drama revolved around Ronaldinho not playing for Barcelona, with a message from doctors on the club website exposing as wrong the player's claims that he "was injured."
Barca chiefs have decided enough is enough and seem willing to cash in. The 28-year-old for Paris St-Germain star has a buy-out clause in his contract of around €125m, but it seems a bid of around €18m will probably be enough to convince Barcelona to part with the player.
There are even reports in the Spanish press that 'Dinho's brother, Roberto de Assis, could potentially buy his brother for his own club, Porto Alegre Futebol Clube, before engineering a further transfer from there, but this rmains mere paper talk at the moment.
Elsewhere, The Sun claim that Chelsea are interested in bringing the Brazilian to Stamford Bridge, believing they can revive his flagging career.
The newspaper even suggests that the Blues even provisionally agreed a five-year, £11.6m-a-season deal with Ronaldinho back in September with a view to a January move, only for the player to decide to stick it out in Spain. Now it appears staying put is less of an option.

"He's on our wishlist," he told TZ, adding that they've been tracking the German international "for years."
The newspaper reports that Barcelona have already made an official approach to Bayern for the player, but further details have not been released.
Lahm recently lost his starting spot as Bayern's left-back to fellow German international Marcell Jansen, but put in a strong display at the weekend against Bayer Leverkusen, covering for the injured Willy Sagnol and suspended Christian Lell on the right side of defence.
Bayern are still hoping that Lahm, a Munich lad, will decide to stay on and sign a new deal at the Allianz Arena, not least because incoming coach Jürgen Klinsmann is a big fan, but a strong performance in this summer's Euro 2008 in particular would increase significantly the competition for his services.
English sides Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United have made enquiries about the defender in the past.
