Player Ratings
Moya - 5 - Should have saved the first goal at his near post, and couldn't reach the ball for the second goal. Did make a fine double save before that though to save a point for Los Che.
Bruno - 7.5 - Was excellent down the right flank. Was involved in many attacks and was decent defensively.
Navarro - 5.5 - Didn't have much to do for the most part. Lack of communication between him and Moya cost VCF a goal at the end though.
Alexis - 5.5 - Should have done better to get Barral off the ball for the opening goal.
Mathieu - 6.5 - Started the match poorly, but got much better as the match went on. Had a couple good moments offensively and defensively, and should have scored in the second half before going off injured.
Marchena - 6.5 - Solid job defensively. Took far too many long range shots though.
Banega - 9 - Absolutely ran the show for Valencia in midfield. Showed off his excellent passing range yet again, and was very good on the defensive side of the ball as well.
Pablo - 6.5 - Similar to Mathieu, got stronger as the match went on, but was overshadowed by Bruno on the right side.
Silva - 6 - Had a couple of chances to score but failed to do so.
Mata - 6.5 - Similar to Pablo and Mathieu. Started well, but faded somewhat in the second half. Delivered the cross that Mathieu should have buried.
Villa - 9 - Four goals in three matches. Had miltiple chances. His old team had no answer for the Spain international.
Substitutes
Joaquin - 6 - Earned a penalty kick, but the referee failed to call it.
Albelda - 5 - Didn't do much.
Michel - 5 - Didn't do much.
