DESCRIPTION OF
PROJECT
The project is aimed at promoting the tolerance and social inclusion among
young people through empowering them with necessary skills in overcoming
various forms of discrimination. A diverse youth groups will come together:
both “victims” of violence and intolerance and those facing the problem in
their societies. It will be focused on rising European citizenship awareness of
such groups, on development role of young people in changing the life to the
better and on building self-confidence of disadvantaged groups to become
better citizens.
OBJECTIVES OF
THE EXCHANGE
• To strengthen the capacity of young people to effectively advocate for
and implement violence prevention programs.
• To promote the dialogue and provide a platform for intercultural
understanding and cooperation.
• To motivate a wide range of young people at all levels to engage in
awareness-raising activities on tolerance and in changing
attitude/behaviors that perpetuate violence.
• To implement exchange results into practice based on the best
experiences/examples of tolerance peaceful coexistence in Georgian and
European context.
• Development new and creative solutions in tolerance promotion.
METHODOLOGY
The exchange will touch practical aspects of promoting the tolerance and social
inclusion through workshops, presentations, sharing of information and
experiences, discussions, learning by doing and other intercultural learning
activities from manuals of working with young people.
The participants will have the opportunity to present their personal, professional
and cultural backgrounds.

PROFILE OF
PARTICIPANTS
This Youth Exchange is designed for participants:
• who come from youth organisations/centers or clubs with a certain
knowledge and/or interest in anti-discrimination projects in their countries;
• Individuals having a willingness to develop their skills, possibilities for
exchange of information, experience and knowledge in tolerance promotion
activities;
• Who will be in a good physical condition and willing to participate in whole
duration of the exchange;
• who are 18 – 25 years old;
• who are able to work in the working language of the exchange;

The Exchange will be held in Kobuleti, Georgia.
The Exchange will start on 15th June 2006 and will end on 21st June 2006.
Participants will be accommodated in the Hotel in Kobuleti; bedrooms are shared
by 3 people.
FINANCIAL
INFORMATION
Transportation Tbilisi-Kobuleti-Tbilisi and all board and lodging will be
provided. There is no participation fee for the exchange.
