Magners League The Welsh regions are leading the way in the Magners League, with Cardiff Blues sitting pretty at the top of the table. They have a two-game advantage over the Scottish and Irish sides, but that will be equalled out over the EDF Energy Cup weekends.
With Scotland doing the best out of the three nations at the World Cup they pressure will be on their sides to make a decent fist of things now. The Irish sides will need a big season all round to help rectify the disappointing showing of Brian O'Driscoll and his men in France. Get ready for fireworks in the Magners.
