From the chief editor of the Daily Star (a newspaper read in Lebanon and Middle East) to the chairman of the Lebanon Rugby Union Federation
"Dear Mr. Jammal,
Thank you for your email below and apologies for missing your phone calls.
First, I need to clarify that I had instructed our Sports Editor, Mr. James Jabra, to cease Rugby coverage in the paper.
I don't feel that Rugby, both Union and League, has picked up serious following in Lebanon yet and our readers show little interest in reading about it despite our continual coverage over the past couple of years.
We will restart our coverage again once we feel that there is local interest in the sport.
I realize that you would strongly contest the above, but for the time being The Daily Star will not be covering any rugby action.
