He is a former scrum-half, son of Henri Broncan, who was part of the Georgian coaching staff during the 2007 RWC. He is mostly focused on player unity, defense, and efficiency.
As forwards coach, he led Blagnac to promotion to Pro D2 and later achieved the same with Colomiers. He has also been in charge of signings and scouting at Bordeaux, Toulouse, and Bath.
He was defensive coach at Toulouse from 2015 to 2018. He then moved to Castres as manager, taking charge of a relegation-threatened side and guiding them to finish 7th. Later, he led them to the Top 14 final in 2022.
He joined the Australian staff for the 2023 RWC.
He was Brive head coach until last year and was recently recalled after Brive’s poor results towards the end of the season.
