David Kipiani was a truly magnificent player. He was injured and missed the 1982 World Cup. Kipiani died a few years ago in a car crash aged 50. The other star of that team Vitaly Daraselia (scored winner in 81 CWC against Jena) also died in a car crash. He was only 25.
As you might have gathered i have a fondness for that team.
