Procedure for Obtaining: Individuals may apply for a Georgian police certificate (criminal history record) in person by submitting a written request to the Analytical Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, located at 10, Gia Gulua Street, Tbilisi, Georgia. Operating hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00 – 18:00; no appointment is necessary. The written request must include the person’s full legal name, any other names used, date of birth, place of birth, Georgian ID number, mailing address, and signature, and should state that the individual is requesting a certificate with his/her complete lifetime criminal history (if any), for the purpose of applying for a U.S. visa.
The Analytical Department will send the response by mail (not email) within 10 business days directly to the requestor, who must then submit it to the U.S. Embassy for review. Alternatively, if you state in your request that you prefer to pick it up in person, the documents will be ready for pickup from their office at 10, Gia Gulua Street in Tbilisi within 10 business days.
