Stydegor Guitarist Slava Giebel Killed in Car Crash
Slava Giebel, guitarist for German Viking Metal band StrydegoR, was killed in a car accident on May 25.
"It is not easy for us to put our feelings into words," said the band in a statement. "The most important thing is that Slava will never be forgotten, and we will, in any case, continue with the band.
"Thanks Slava for all of the wonderful time we had together at concerts, parties, rehearsal. Thanks for all the conversations we had, and we have even more closely together. Thanks for all the s--t that we've experienced together and we still always have zueinandergehalten.
"We wish Slavas family much strength in this difficult situation and will be there for them.
"We were more than friends, we warn the brothers.
For many years we sang the same songs.
Only the best die young - You were the best!
