Jimmy Smith-Midnight Special
http://www.link.ge/file/157076/Midnight-Special.zip.htmlhttp://rapidshare.com/files/167982182/Midnight_Special.zipMidnight Special is a perfect complement to Back at the Chicken Shack, which was recorded the same day. Organist Jimmy Smith, tenor saxophonist Stanley Turrentine, and guitarist Kenny Burrell always make for a potent team, and with drummer Donald Bailey completing the group, the quartet digs soulfully into such numbers as the groovin' Midnight Special, Jumpin' the Blues, and One O'Clock Jump. Oscar Brown Jr- Fresh 1974
http://www.link.ge/file/157079/Fresh.zip.htmlhttp://rapidshare.com/files/168308513/Fresh.zipFresh, the last of Oscar's trio of Atlantic albums, is the least jazz of all his records; it's also the funkiest. Produced by the great Jerry Butler (himself no stranger to the bluring of genres, as at home with folk as with soul) it feels like a definitive attempt to build on previous album Brother Where Are you's near hit The Lone Ranger, harnessing a ripe wah-wah groove often powerfully reminiscent of Shaft. It's also the first of Oscar's album to have significant input from other songwriters.
Pictured on the album's sleeve goofing with wife and collaborator Jean Peace, Oscar looks like is having a ball. He probably is. You one too with this great peace of music!
