This digital conversion (320 kbps) was culled from the recently released re-issue which I was fortunate enough to obtain from Dusty Groove America's excellent on-line shop for under eight dollars (omitting shipping); quite a bargain when you consider that this album was nigh difficult to accrue for anything less than one-hundred bucks as recently as five or six months ago. I now share it with you all, with hopes that not only will you enjoy this album for what it is -- a great document of its time -- but also that someone out there may hear this and be willing to share the group's extremely rare 1977 follow-up (which is, coincidentally, also eponymously titled). Leroy Hutson-Feel the spirit 1974
One of the lesser-known Leroy LPs, but still a damn good one. There's a number of tracks that are a bit more uptempo, and aimed at the dancefloor, like It's The Music and Feel The Spirit, but there's also some great cuts that are in his more standard Chicago mellow soul style, like the great You Never Know What You Can Do (Give It A Try) and Lover's Holiday. More great stuff from one of the geniuses of 70's soul, with arrangements by Leroy himself and Richard Evans that sparkle throughout!
