Gary Burton - Good Vibes (1969)
http://bin.ge/file/40046/Good-Vibes.zip.htmlGary Burton hits a sweet electric funky sound here, a great groove that really makes the album stand out from most of his other work! The support Burton gets is a big reason for the greatness of the date, as he's working in a group that includes Eric Gale on guitar, Richard Tee on piano and organ, Chuck Rainey on bass, and Bernard Purdie on drums. The album's got a bit of trippiness to it, kind of in the style of some of Herbie Mann's funky production work for the Vortex label, and a few cuts have producer Joel Dorn working with Arif Mardin on the cuts, giving them a more expansive sound that pushes Burton's playing nicely. The vibes have a dark chromatic quality to them that sounds great next to the sweeter playing of the funky player, and the record's filled with nice numbers.
Sam Rivers - Waves (1978)
http://www.link.ge/file/250537/Sam-Rivers.zip.htmlAn explosive late '70s set with underrated composer, multi-instrumentalist, and arranger Sam Rivers leading a strong quartet. While bassist and cellist Dave Holland and percussionist Thurman Barker merged to form a strong, challenging rhythm section, Rivers and Joe Daley, playing tuba and baritone horn, worked together to create instrumental dialogues in sequence. Their array of contrasting voicings, with Rivers on tenor and soprano sax and flute, makes for compelling listening.

Inner Shade is the brainchild of Incognito's main man "Bluey", and their album "4 Corners" is the first chosen release for his Rice Records label. At the forefront of the band are Bass maestro Randy Hope-Taylor , Saxophonists/ Flutists Ed Jones and Chris De Margary, who have all been in Incognito on various occasions.
They are joined by "Jazz Guitar genius" Mark Whitfield. This talented Quartet have all featured with some of the biggest names in the music world, including Jeff Beck, Steve Winwood, Basia, Simply red, George Benson, D'Angello, Jimmy Smith and many more. Part instrumental, part vocal, the project consists of many Incognito musicians and singers but also features some new and diverse talents.
Incognito favourites Maysa and Chris Ballin provide soulful voices to the songs, whilst Mark Whitfield's incredible Guitar spearheads the instrumentals. Casting their musical spells over the ivories are Graham Harvey, Peter Hinds and Gary Sanctuary.
The vital ingredient to the uniqueness of this offering is the combination of the organic sound of Richard Bailey, Eshan Khadaroo and Thomas Dyani on Drums and Percussion and the programmed (From Bossa to drum 'n' bass) broken beats of Daniel "Venom" Maunick. Engaging beats and rhythms create the foundations for cascading guitar lines, sensual voices and Simon Hale's cinematic strings arrangements, as musicians play with reckless abandon.
Recorded and mixed in Bluey's studio with engineer Simon Cotsworth ever present to ensure the highest sonic resolutions. Production duties are handled by Bluey.

http://bin.ge/file/39930/IS-99.rar.htmlInner Shade's "4 Corners" is a fine collection of eclectic jazz tunes. Each track is distinguished in its unique style, ranging from bossa nova to acid jazz to the fusion of contemporary jazzy-funk. The vocals are smooth and soulful that aren't wailing nor boisterous. The instrumental arrangements are tight and brim, at times, with an international flavor.
Inner Shade is very much the equivalent of fellow Brit band Incognito, and its almost difficult to make the blurred distinction between the two well-defined. Regardless, both bands may have a similar style but are enjoyable and worth equal attention. As for Inner Shade's "4 Corners" the album is wonderfully groovy, and I look forward to their future releases.
