The Amboy Dukes were an American rock music band of the late 1960s and early 1970s from Detroit, Michigan, best remembered for their hit single "Journey to the Center of the Mind", and for launching the career of Ted Nugent. The band's name comes from the title of a novel by Irving Shulman about a Jewish street gang of the same name in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn during the 1940s. In the UK the group's records were released under the name of The American Amboy Dukes owing to the existence of a homonymous British group.
The band went through a number of personnel changes during its active years. Bassist Greg Arama died in 1979. The group helped in the foundations of heavy metal and progressive rock.
In 2008, The Amboy Dukes were inducted into the Michigan Rock and Roll Legends Hall of Fame. The band's biggest hit, "Journey To The Center Of The Mind", was voted a Legendary Michigan Song that same year

This whacked-out documentary is about the ill-fated Randall's Island rock festival of 1970, which was a financial bust, due to its being picketed by a coalition of 21 radical groups (including such people as The White Panthers and the Weather Underground), chiefly because they wanted the capitalist pigs to give back to the counterculture that made them millionaires in the first place. Among the list of demands was $100,000 bail for a Black Panther, and 10,000 free tickets.
And amidst the documentary footage of people bitching that they paid 21 dollars for this event, and some random clips of the performers who did play, -Mountain ("Mississippi Queen"), Van Morrison ("Come Running")- we see footage by artists who were never there! The Doors' "People are Strange" performance film (later featured in their "Dance on Fire" video collection), is prominently featured. While at first this seems like a silly way to give more running time to the movie, it nonetheless makes sense featuring Jim Morrison, the poster boy of chaos and disorder, amidst a backdrop that is out of control.
Similarly, we see snippets of Angela Davis, Richard Nixon, Vietnam, The Red Berets and Malcolm X interspersed throughout, and the choice of music becomes more symbolic. When we hear Steppenwolf, the song is "America". The movie concludes with Jimi Hendrix's "Star Spangled Banner", which although played at Woodstock (3 Days of Peace and Love), is in a perfectly Satanic context here.. summarizing this hour-long treatise of a nation (and a generation) out of control.

Exposed is the name of a 1987 long form music video released by the band Kiss. This was the band's second home video release.

The video is a long interview with Kiss (almost exclusively Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley) interspersed with music videos and live concert clips including:

Promotional videos for "Lick It Up" and "All Hell's Breakin' Loose" from the Lick It Up LP.
Promotional videos for "Who Wants to Be Lonely", "Tears Are Falling" and "Uh! All Night" from the Asylum LP.
Live excerpts from Winterland 1975 with "Deuce". An Ace Frehley guitar solo from the Unmasked tour. A performance of Peter Criss' signature song "Beth".
A follow up was planned and almost 5 hours of footage was filmed during the first week of Hot in the Shade Tour, but it was, for unknown reason, shelved. The footage leaked to bootleg circuit and is called "eXposed II".

Immagine In Cornice, Italian for "picture in a frame," is a live concert film documenting Pearl Jam's 2006 five-concert tour of Italy, including behind-the-scenes footage as well as performances from the tour.
The film was directed by renowned photographer Danny Clinch. It was shot in various formats, ranging from Super-8 to High Definition. It was released on September 25, 2007.

Generation

Unfairly, Dexter Gordon is perhaps remembered more for his well-documented drug problems and his starring role in the 1986 film 'ROUND MIDNIGHT (for which he received an Oscar nomination) than for his music. GENERATION, recorded in 1972 towards the end of a self-imposed European exile, shows why this is so unjust. Gordon's playing is simply superb. He blows with bluesy intensity on two very different reinterpretations of Miles Davis' "Milestones," and explores new rhythmic arenas with confidence on an arresting, lengthy version of Thelonious Monk's quirky "We See."

The quintet, featuring the great trumpeter Freddie Hubbard, swings effortlessly (for example, on the graceful take of Andre Previn's "Scared To Be Alone" which showcases a clarion Hubbard solo). Gordon's playing reveals both how much his influence went on to effect later tenor masters like Sonny Rollins and John Coltrane, and how little of his effortless technique had been lost since his '50s heyday.

Recorded at the Van Gelder Studio, Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey on July 22, 1972.
