The US government makes an explanation with PIA about the report published in the foreign media.
According to the article, "the US Army Corps of Engineers began to develop a business plan, which aims at an invitation of private contractors for the construction of buildings for the needs of the US Department of Defense.
The article says it is necessary to build the administrative buildings and infrastructure, including training centers, aircraft hangar, fire stations, offices, laboratories, canteens and an equipment repair and storage building on the territory of Georgia".
Information Agency "PirWeli" contacted the US Embassy and asked it to express the US position on the issue.
"The U.S Army Corps of Engineers has recently released a solicitation for local firms to submit statements of interest to partner on humanitarian assistant projects. These projects - including repairing roads, schools, and clinics as well as flood control - will be part of a five year, multi-million dollar venture to continue the U.S. Government's longstanding history of humanitarian projects in Georgia,"- the Embassy says.
