Epic Battle #4 - Oct 16th 1 PM in Arathi | 10/9/2005 8:55:47 AM PDT
Hear hear, for the realm has news for you:
Epic Battle #4: Arathi Bloodgrounds
Sunday, october 16th, 1 PM sharp (server time)
Time to shed some blood again, this time in the quant surroundings of Arathi Highgrounds. No level or class restrictions, as usual, everyone is welcome. An epic battle run by players, for the players, in name of fun!
I would like to especially ask for Guilds to come as larger groups. The Alliance seems to know how to do this, but Horde has shown very little interest as Guilds... I hope this will change the next time.
No DKP, no repair costs, just pure anal PvP fun and lotsa CPs for those who can survive for more than 5 seconds at a time (=everyone else but me)!

Please note Blizzard is not running the event, nor are they responsible for it. This is the 4th event of this type on our Realm. The server has proven it can take the stress quite well, as the largest battle featured well over 400 players.
The idea is simple: non-restricted outworld PvP without DK's (since no towns are supposed to be entered). Forces are expected to gather in their own town in the named zone, and at the precise hour start their attack on the opposing faction.
This far we have organised two battles in Hillsbrad and one in Ashenvale, and if counted together, more than 800 people have participated in these events.
There is no certain point when the battle is over, but most of the players leave after 1 hour has passed from the start. At most, single players have scored more than 150 HKs during that timeperiod.
This event does not try to compete against battlegrounds in terms of CPs. We are, however, trying to offer a less restricted and more relaxed alternative, which has its roots in the Pre-Honor System era when raids against towns were frequent.
To participate, you only need to be in Hammerfall, Arathi Highgrounds BEFORE the set time of 1 PM (server time). If possible, bring your Guid with you, and come as a group and fight together. If you cannot do that, then simply show up and ask for an invite to another raid group already in progress in the area.
Hope to see you on the fields of glory, and I wish you happy adventures until then.
Best regards,
Tomtom of Sunstrider
