Q: Which countries would you say are most in demand from your Georgian customers?
A: Germany is the most popular country, it is very popular, because of business trips, especially for people participating in the auto tour [trips abroad to purchase cars for use or re-sale in Georgia]. Our company provides flights to more than 28 European countries, and the main hub for these flights is Istanbul. France, Paris, Rome and Milan are also very important destinations for us. We also provide flights outside of Europe, for example, we run a flight to Beirut. We were very surprised at the reaction to this route from Georgian customers, and despite the fact that flights to Beirut have only recently been on offer here, we have already seen substantial number of orders for tickets.
Q: What about prices?
A: The average price for a ticket with Pegasus is about € 130 euro; but of course it depends on where you’re going. I would recommend keeping an eye on our website for deals in January, as we are going to drop our prices dramatically - by about € 20 on average. For example, if the price of a flight to Dusseldorf was around € 140 in December, in January it will closer to € 120. One thing I should add, is that unlike a lot of low-cost airlines, the cost of every ticket includes all airport taxes and 20 kg of luggage for free.
Q: Do you have any offers for people flying to Germany?
A: There are definitely some interesting new offers for regular passengers to Germany, particularly for those taking part in auto tours. Very soon we’re looking to issue special cards for such consumers, giving them access to free and discounted transport while in Germany.
Q: What are Pegasus’ plans for the future?
A: We are planning to add around four new destinations, we are also going to make our service simpler, to introduce some special tours, and to partner with a loyalty card provider so our customers will have the opportunity to accumulate points, discounts and gifts.
