К длинному списку музеев Парижа добавился еще один. 14 апреля открылись двери La Musée du Jeu Vidéo (The Museum of Video Game) – музея, посвященного игровой индустрии. В просторном павильоне на крыше La Grande Arche de la Defense парижане и гости города всего за 10 евро могут узнать массу любопытных подробностей о развитии индустрии видеоигр.
В экспозиции музея представлен большой выбор аркадных автоматов, приставок и всевозможных игровых контроллеров, часть которых появилась еще в 60-70-х годах прошлого века. Если у вас нет возможности слетать в Париж и посетить La Musée du Jeu Vidéo, то не стоит расстраиваться. Составить представление о содержимом музея можно с помощью пары видеороликов, размещенных посетителями на YouTube.

In a story in the New York Times today it was revealed that Sony will be giving its PlayStation 3 users the ability to stream Major League Baseball games through the PS3. This will, of course, carry a fee with it and you will be unable to watch local games, just like if you bought the baseball package through DirectTV or the Dish Network. But the real point of interest here is the live TV feed through the console.
We all knew it was possible, but is this foreshadowing of things to come? Will this open the floodgates for live TV through our gaming consoles? While it is not likely that content will just come pouring in after this announcement, hopefully it will open the door to more possibilities for us to by live television content through gaming consoles in the future. I would love to be able to buy a season of a show from HBO or Showtime or even FX and not pay for all of the crap I don’t want. I would gladly pay for live content through my console (if the price was right), would you?
