She just turned 16 last month. She opens with a double Axel-triple toe combination. The triple toe was two-footed. Then triple Lutz-triple toe. But she pops her triple flip into a single. Then, bracket turns (footwork) into a triple Lutz. "That's extremely hard to do," notes Sale. Nice recovery from the error on the flip. Then her spiral sequence. But she aborted the takeoff for a triple Salchow -- didn't even get off the ground. Strange. Then a double Axel -- easy. Straightline footwork. Then triple toe -- a step-out on the landing. Next a spin, ending in Biellmann position. Ends with a combination spin; another Biellmann.
Sale: She's fiery, fun and adorable. Love her. Mistakes don't seem to affect her. She can bounce back quite easily. Watch out: With more time and experience, she'll be the one to beat.
Pelletier: It was a great showing for the youngest competitor. What you have to remember is that she is the future of the sport, and she is an example of where the sport is going. She can do triple-triple combinations like the big experienced skaters here. It's so refreshing to see a new face in the last group of the Olympics. It's great to see somebody so naive and not scared, although there were a few mistakes.

16 year old figure skater Elene Gedevanishvili was in fourth place after the short program in Lyon, France at the European Championships.
She was the youngest among 32 figure skater ladies in Lyon.
The best result so far in this sports was of Vakhtang Murvanidze two years before,
when he ranked 7th at the ECH.
Elene set a new personal best for herself with 93.08 points and collected 153.27 points in total. She ended up in fifth.
Specialists consider that 5th place is great achievement for Elene and talented athlete with good technical skills and plastics has a real chance to reach great success in her future sport career.

There was also surprise for the 4th place after the short (5th final) by Georgian Elene Gedevanishvili, at her debut in this competition: well equipped technically, she has certainly gained the spotlight as an athlete to be watched in the future.

I enjoyed Elene Gedevanishvili's energetic musical footwork the most of her LP. It was not as good a performance as the SP, but definitely more than respectable for such a young skater at her first Europeans
