აქ მახსენდება მხოლოდ კუდ-ის სამარცხვინო გამოძიება...ჯერ ვინები აყარეს..რა ვიდეოები აჩვენეს...და მერე ყველა ჯიგრულად რო აღადგინეს უფლებებში

A representative body of gaming sector operators told a European parliamentary hearing this week that most football matches in Malta are fixed.
Speaking on Wednesday, Francesco Bavanca, a representative of Federbet, which represent the interests of operators in the gaming sector, said he was convinced that in certain championships “like Cyprus, or Malta , for example, most matches are fixed”.
Describing the match-fixing situation in Europe as “an emergency” and “a pandemic”, Mr Bavanca went on to say: “It is easier to corrupt badly paid players, but the past has shown that the big leagues are not excluded.”
He said his organisation had identified 51 fixed football matches, two basketball matches, three tennis matches and one volleyball game in the five past months.
“These figures are constantly rising,” he said.
On Wednesday, MEPs said that the fight against corruption in football had been a “failure” and called for stronger punishment for those involved in match-fixing, as the number of fixed matches is soaring.
During the debate, Belgian MEP Marc Tarabella told the European Parliament that the EU’s law enforcement agency Europol had detected 680 suspicious matches between 2008 and 2011.
“Since the beginning of 2013, 200 new suspicious cases have been identified. The numbers are soaring,” he said.
The matches under the spotlight are mainly those from the preliminary rounds of the Champions League and Europa League between little known teams, often from the Baltic States or elsewhere in Eastern Europe.
“The fight against corruption in football is currently a failure,” said Italian Christian Democrat Salvatore Iacolino, who invited several magistrates to submit recommendations to better fight the scourge in Europe.
“Sentences are too light. These crimes are too often considered as minor. Investigators don’t have the same resources as they do for crimes that are considered to be more serious,” said Italian prosecutor Roberto Di Martino.
Both Tarabella and Iacolino called for EU member states to implement heavier sentences for match cheats to dissuade the fixing of games. They also called for professional players to be banned from betting.
MEPs also deplored the inertia of the European Football Union (UEFA) “who remains at the stage of declarations of intent”.

MFA seeks to tackle match-fixing through ‘integrity tour’
Earlier this week the Malta Football Association, in conjunction with Sportradar, launched a new educational programme aimed at tackling match-fixing in Maltese football.
The ‘Say No to Match-Fixing’ initiative will be carried out by Sportradar and will seek to better educate players, referees and club officials about all the relevant issues surrounding modern day match-fixing.
The initiative will begin in January and will involve players and officials from the Premier League and Division One. Apart from the members of the senior team, meetings will also see the participation of the Under-19, Under-17 and Under-15 squads from each club.
“We are aware of the threat that match-fixing poses to the game of football and to this end we are willing to do something about it,” MFA president Norman Darmanin Demajo was quoted as saying.
“With the assistance of Sportradar and Betaland, the MFA will embark on an ‘integrity tour’ that we believe will be the blueprint of future ‘Say No to Match-fixing’ campaigns designed to help safeguard our beloved game.”
