Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are so determined that their kids not lose touch with their native cultures, that they are doing everything to teach their international brood their history.
A pal of the actress revealed that if there was one thing the Jolie-Pitt family was not going to be, it would the ‘typical American family’.
"They've always said that they want their children to be citizens of the world and they're starting that education young. Angie wants her kids to grow up understanding the world they live in and she and Brad are starting where it counts - at home. It's definitely not your typical American family," the Mirror quoted the pal, as saying.
As for what that entails for the kids, well learning their native languages, as well about their native culture is just the tip of the ice-berg.
"Angelina has decided she doesn't want her children to be just American kids. The children are being taught their own languages and about their own cultures as well. The most important thing is that Brad and Angelina make learning fun," the pal said.
"They are certain that all the kids will get enough exposure to American culture just by living in the US and interacting with other American kids at school," the friend added.
And, it seems that Jolie has also laid down a few house rules that the kids will just have to follow.
The Jolie-Pitt kids can look forward to meals that include organic vegetables such as oriental squash, Chinese broccoli and snow peas, but not so much fast food such as burgers and fries.
"Angelina makes a point to feed her kids all different types of foods. She goes to an Asian market in LA to stock up on noodles, dumplings, seaweed and sushi. She even goes out of her way to buy fruit native to Asia," revealed the pal.
The couple have also reportedly banned sugary soft drinks from the house, but available in plenty will be fresh fruit juices.
And, Brad and Angelina have not only chalked out what their kids are allowed to eat and drink, but also the kinds of extracurricular activities that they will be taking part in.
So, it seems that while Maddox, Pax, Zahara and Shiloh can look forward to a lot of arts and crafts, there won’t be any Barbie dolls and toy soldiers with guns lying about the house.
As for TV, it seems that unlike Madonna, Brangelina don’t mind their kids watching the idiot box, especially if they happen to be viewing educational programs, especially Sesame Street. Cartoons however, are out.
As to what religion Brangelina’s international family will be following, well it seems the kids will be exposed to all the religions so that they can make an informed choice about what faith they want to follow.
"As for religion, he and Angelina are exposing them to just about everything - Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Judaism and Hinduism. Angie says they are going to leave it up to the kids to decide which religion they are most comfortable with,"
