FIGO WILL NOT JOIN REDS

Real Madrid winger Luis Figo has closed the door on a move to Liverpool.
The European champions had been hoping to tempt Figo to Anfield, with the Portugal international expected to quit Real before the start of the new season.
Liverpool's move for the mercurial 32-year-old has stalled in recent weeks and Figo now seems likely to head to Internazionale.
Figo is currently in the Far East with Real and still holds out hope that he can revive his career at El Santiago Bernabeu.
But Figo concedes that, if he is not going to play regularly with the Spanish giants, then he will explore the option of a transfer.
Talks with Inter will continue upon Figo's return from Asia but the mercurial attacker has ended Liverpool's hopes of signing him.
"With the English side, everything has ended but I'm happy many other big clubs have put their eyes on me," Figo told Reuters.
"About Inter, I have no news.
"My situation is strange. I only want to play football, possibly with Real, but if I have no possibilities here, it's better that I leave."
The issue which needs resolving with Inter is the matter of Figo's wages, with the Italian club proposing a two-year deal worth €3.2 million, while the Portuguese is demanding €4 million.
Inter have also agreed a deal with Real for Walter Samuel and the Argentine defender will now discuss personal terms regarding a switch to the Giuseppe Meazza.
