Ronaldinho, Eto'o and Motta out of Udinese clashRonaldinho has been rested for Baracelona's Champions Leageu trip to Udinese, while Thiago Motta and Samuel Eto'o are also out with injuries. In their place Santi Ezquerro, Maxi López and Damià Abella are called into the squad.With first place in Group C already guaranteed, there will be no ned for nerves before the team face Udinese on Wednesday. Because of that, the coaches have decided to rest one of the team's star players in Ronaldinho. Also missing are Motta and Eto'o, who both picked up knocks in the 2-0 win at Villarreal. The Cameroon striker hopes to return to training on Friday, while the Italian-Brazilian is expected to miss the next two games with a thigh strain.
Medical bulletin
Thiago Motta: "He has suffered a muscular strain in the top of his right thigh. Tests on Monday have revealed the extent of the pull, as well as a signs tendonitis in the same leg. He will be out for two games. Then it will be seen how the injury is progressing as to when he can return to the squad."
Samuel Eto'o: "He has suffered a blow to the right ankle with a lot of inflammation. He will be unable to play in the next match as anti-inflammatory treatment has begun. His return to training will probably arrive on Friday."
Damià receives first call
In their place, Ezquerro and Maxi have been called up, while Damià has also been brought in for the first time this season. The pacy full-back has suffered an injury groin strain this term.
