APPIANO GENTILE - Approximately 2,500 fans turned up at Angelo Moratti Sports Centre to watch Inter beat Serie C1 side Pizzighettone 3-0 in Thursday afternoon's friendly match, with goals from Dejan Stankovic, Alvaro Recoba and Santiago Solari.
Cambiasso's shot from a Figo cut-back took a deflection then hit the crossbar as Inter went close to an early lead, Stankovic opening the scoring in the fifteenth minute with a shot into an open goal after the Pizzighettone keeper palmed clear a Javier Zanetti cross from the right.
Recoba doubled six minutes after the restart of the eighty-minute match (forty minutes each way) with a spectacular left-foot shot from the distance, then Santiago Solari added the third with a close-range effort after his initial shot came back off the bar.
