Manager of the Month Roy Hodgson was presented with the Barclays Premier League Manager of the Month Award for October at Fulham's Training Ground on Friday afternoon.
During the month of October Hodgson guided Fulham to victories over Hull City and Liverpool at Craven Cottage whilst picking up two valuable points away to West Ham and Manchester City.
"It feels very good and it's a great honour," said Hodgson after Friday morning's training session. "But of course it's an honour for the Club, the team, and the staff, but it's nice to be the person receiving the award.
"It's always very nice to be appreciated by people within the game and the people making the judgements. To win the Barclays Premier League Manager of the Month Trophy is something I'm very proud of and very happy with."
Hodgson's side produced a high level of performance in all of their matches during the month of October and Fulham's Manager pointed to consistency as a major factor in achieving stability in the Barclays Premier League.
"I think the important thing for all teams is to try and develop some degree of consistency so you know exactly what type of performance your players are likely to give you in all of the games you play in.
"There's no doubt that the Barclays Premier League is getting tougher and tougher to survive in. More and more money is being spent by the teams coming into the league and much more investement is being made than perhaps was done in the past.
"The statement that you need to invest more is probably a true one but it's nice to think that hard work and a good bunch of players who work hard for each other and the team are capable of surviving in the League.
"We've got a good group of players here and it's important to keep them together. I believe that if we can keep people fit the squad we have at the moment is capable of going through the season and doing what we would like to do with the season."

Ван Перси и Ходжсон – лауреаты октября
Нападающий "Арсенала" Робин Ван Перси и главный тренер "Фулхэма" Рой Ходжсон признаны лучшими игроком и тренером английской Премьер-лиги октября соответственно. Для голландского нападающего "Канониров" минувший месяц действительно выдался крайне успешным - он не только стал автором пяти забитых голов, включая дубль в недавнем поединке против "Тоттенхэма", но и дважды ассистировал своим партнёрам по команде.
Ван Перси завоевывает звание Игрока Месяца во второй раз в своей карьере - предыдущий раз подобного успеха он добился в ноябре 2005 года.
Ещё более примечательной смотрится награда Менеджеру Месяца, вручённая Рою Ходжсону - последний раз наставник "Фулхэма" удостаивался подобной награды 12 лет назад - в декабре 1997 года, когда руководил "Блэкберном"..
Ходжсон был отмечен за успешные результаты своей команды в минувшем месяце, когда имевший крайне сложный график клуб с "Крэйвен Коттедж" ни разу не проиграл: "Дачники" сыграли вничью 2-2 с "Вест Хэмом", затем одолели дома "Вест Хэм" (2-0), снова сыграли 2-2 с "Манчестер Сити", а под конец победили "Ливерпуль" со счётом 3-1.
