Adriano to make derby comeback Friday 10 November, 2006

Adriano will make his comeback on Sunday in the Milan derby – playing for the Inter youth team.
As there is no Reserve squad in Italian football, players returning from injury or a long lay-off slowly get themselves match fit within the youth side.
This weekend sees Inter take on Milan in the Primavera youth championship and Adriano could make his first appearance since flying out to Rio de Janeiro for a period of rest and recuperation.
The Brazilian striker, who has not scored at club level since netting against Villarreal in the Champions League in March, was sent away to rediscover his form just before the Serie A derby.
That game finished 4-3 for the Nerazzurri on October 28 and his side has been in fine form in Adriano’s absence.
So far he has been undergoing only physical training separate from the rest of the squad and it’s reported he could make his official comeback in the Coppa Italia tie with Messina on November 29.
A few days earlier is also an option, although the head to head Scudetto battle with Palermo at the Stadio Barbera could be a little too important to risk his return.
