Ledesma urges Lazio revival

Cristian Ledesma has urged Lazio to leave behind the memories of the Rome derby and get right back on track against Fiorentina today.
“We have to forget about the derby and just not think about it any more,” commented the midfielder who scored in that 3-2 defeat on Wednesday evening.
“Instead, we must start again from our performance in that game and especially our refusal to give in. However the final result went, we played well.”
The Biancocelesti are in the bottom half of the table and struggling in the Champions League as well after an injury crisis took hold on the already meagre squad.
“Up until now we have faced difficult ties and those that await us are no less tricky, starting from Fiorentina. The Viola are a very effective unit even without taking into account their extraordinary strike force.”
Ledesma was one of the players who missed out on big games due to injury, but showed with that screamer against Roma that he is recovering well.
“My knee is fine now and much better than expected,” added the Argentine. “The doctors who performed the operation did brilliantly and also warned me that the recovery time varies from person to person.
“I feel good and am working hard to regain my form, but if I was struggling to play then I’d be the first to tell the Coach to leave me out.”
