Mihajlovic Hints At Lazio Top JobFormer Lazio defender Sinisa Mihajlovic has hinted that he would like to return to the Biancocelesti as a coach in future.The Serbian footballer spent six seasons at the club and in that time he won major honours including the Scudetto as well as the last the edition of the Cup Winners Cup in 1999.
He is currently Roberto Mancini’s assistant at Inter but he has not ruled out a move back to Rome.
“You never know what life will throw at you, at the moment I am at inter and I am happy because under Mancini I am improving day after day,” Mihajlovic told Corriere Dello Sport.
“However when I feel ready, I would like to take on a bigger challenge and coach an important side like Lazio for example.
“Rome for me is the most beautiful city and one day I would like to return there."
Mihajlovic also played down talk that neither himself nor Mancini would be leaving at the end of the season amidst recent speculation that Jose Mourinho could take the reigns at the Nerazzurri, following their less than vintage campaign in the Champions League.
“Myself and Mancini both have a contract at Inter and we will stay there hoping we can do well next season. Who knows, we may even win the Champions League.”
Inter are on course for their third Scudetto in as many years but a recent dip in form has allowed Roma to close the gap to just three points with two games left.
