Oddo future uncertain Monday 22 January, 2007

Lazio President Claudio Lotito has insisted that Massimo Oddo will only join Milan if the Rossoneri meet his demands.
The world champion has requested a move to the San Siro outfit, but the deal has stalled after the two clubs failed to agree on the transfer fee.
Furthermore, the player was left out of Sunday evening’s match at the Stadio Olimpico against Carlo Ancelotti’s side, as Coach Delio Rossi preferred not to field him.
“First of all, I want to highlight the fact that in life everyone is useful but nobody is indispensable,” Lotito told RAI after the match.
“If Milan are not willing to accept our conditions, Oddo will stay at Lazio. This issue is not a closed one, we are available to discuss this only if we are the ones to set the rules.
“I am a friend of Adriano Galliani, but Lazio have never put Oddo up for sale. Someone asked us for the player and we set a price, which we have already lowered.
"This is how we behave, we do things before making any statements – someone else spoke ahead of time.”
Lotito then moved on to comment on the match, which ended in a goalless draw, despite both clubs needing to earn precious points in the race for a Champions League spot.
“It was a very physical game, Lazio had two clear chances which we didn’t finish, although Dida was decisive with his saves.
“These are strange matches, when both sides are eager to win and in the end no one is able to do so,” concluded Lotito.
Lazio are fifth in the table with 27 points, just one point behind Empoli, who are currently in fourth position for the final Champions League berth.
