Juve beat Inter to youth Coppa Wednesday 4 April, 2007 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Juventus have beaten Inter to the Coppa Italia Primavera youth tournament under the guidance of Ciro Ferrara and Franco Chiarenza.
The Bianconeri had won the first leg 2-0 in Turin with goals from Sebastian Giovinco and Massimo De Ceglie, so the 1-1 draw in Milan proved enough to secure the trophy.
Davide Lanzafame had put Juve ahead after 33 minutes from Riccardo Maniero’s assist, while Hungarian Attila Filkor converted a penalty for the Nerazzurri just before the break for Stefano Di Biardino’s foul on Sebastian Cesar Ribas. Leonardo Bonucci was sent off for the Milanese side on 75 minutes.
It is another morale-boosting victory for the giants, who also beat Inter to the 2004 Coppa Italia and hammered their rivals 5-1 for the Italian Super Cup in September.
It is the third time Juve have won this competition after the 1995 edition – led by Alessandro Del Piero – and the Raffaele Palladino starring 2004 squad.
“Over the two legs we deserved to win and there is the added joy of lifting the trophy in Milan,” smiled Ferrara.
The former Italian international defender is now the director in charge of the entire Juventus youth sector.
“These lads are achieving great things. They have done well and so has Coach Chiarenza, who has proved himself yet again to be an excellent motivator.
“It is wonderful to know that so many youngsters come to our football academy and are now reaping the rewards.”

Palladino reveals Juve desire Wednesday 4 April, 2007 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Raffaele Palladino has underlined that he wants a Serie A future with Italian giants Juventus.
“I’m having a great time at this club and I like it here,” said the 22-year-old striking sensation. “I want to win the Serie B title this season and then play in the First Division in this jersey.”
The Under-21 international is one of the most promising talents in Italian football and he’s already been nicknamed ‘Palladinho’ by President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli after his eight Serie B strikes so far this term.
“I’m obviously happy to be receiving so many compliments, but I just want to keep my feet on the ground right now,” he added.
Talk in Turin suggests that Juventus are keen to tighten their grip on the former Salernitana boy by handing him a new deal.
“No one has offered me a renewal yet, but there is no hurry,” he insisted. “I still have three years ahead of me before my current contract ends.”
April is set to be a crucial month for the Italian giants with the long-awaited showdown with Napoli set for Tuesday, but Palladino insists the focus is just on Friday’s Albinoleffe clash for now.
“We must not underestimate Albinoleffe as that would be a big mistake,” added the Napoli-born starlet.
“We have to concentrate on this match, without thinking ahead. The match with Napoli is not different from any other – they are just a more prestigious side.”
Meanwhile, Juventus have renewed their agreement with the highly-rated Cristian Molinaro until 2011.
The left-back, who is at Siena in a co-ownership deal, has enjoyed an excellent season so far and is a reported target for Roma.
