Igor Tudor will join former club Hajduk Split in the summer after revealing that he will not renew his contract with Juventus.
“I’m happy with my return to Hajduk,” said Tudor, who left the outfit to join the Bianconeri back in the summer of 1998.
“I still have 10 to 15 days of rehabilitation to do after my injury, but I will soon be ready to join the team. I had many offers but Hajduk was my first choice.”
The defender was expected to quit the Old Lady this month after his injury nightmare with the Italian giants in recent years.
The 29-year-old missed the whole of last season with an ankle problem and the club actually tried to annul his deal last February, by taking advantage of a release clause related to his fitness in his contract.
The Croatia international, a one-time Manchester United target, will officially be able to join Hajduk when his Juve agreement expires on June 30.
Tudor, who spent a period on loan at Siena between 2005 and 2006, scored 21 goals for Juventus in 174 official appearances. He has also won 55 caps for his national team.

Alberto Gilardino seems set to stay with Milan after he today rubbished rumours that he was in talks with Juventus.
The Old Lady have been paired since Gilardino claimed that the Rossoneri had little faith in his abilities, but peace seems to have been made with the European champions.
“The news regarding Juventus is untrue,” said agent Claudio Sclosa to Teleradiostereo on Tuesday afternoon.
“Milan first said that they wanted £17m for the player, but now things have changed and it is clear that he will stay.
“The Rossoneri do not intend to sell Gilardino,” he added. “There was a misunderstanding that was immediately clarified.
“I think that those who say that his season was a negative one are wrong. He scored 12 Serie A goals this year, despite his injury.
“What will happen if Samuel Eto’o arrives from Barcelona? We will wait and see, in any case it is our understanding that Gilardino is not on the market.”
Sclosa also ruled out the possibility that Gianluca Zambrotta would leave Barcelona this summer, as suggested by recent reports in Italy.
“He will stay in Spain,” he noted. “There have never been the conditions needed for him to leave. The club is pleased with his performances and he likes it there.”
