Juventus are eyeing Manchester United defender Gabriel Heinze, confirmed the player’s brother and agent.
The Bianconeri are looking to strengthen their squad in view of next season’s return to Serie A and have eyed the 29-year-old, who would arrive with the added bonus of an EU passport.
“Gabriel is being followed by several clubs,” said Sebastian Heinze on Monday.
“As well as Real Madrid there are other teams showing interest in Gabriel, like Barcelona and Juventus in Italy,” added the Argentine international’s representative.
The versatile defender, who is valued at around £5m, stated that he has yet to decide where he will play next season, although he seems reluctant to return to La Liga.
“When the Copa America is over we will see where I will play. I don’t know if it will be for Madrid or Barcelona,” the player told The Sun.
Heinze, who has struggled for a regular spot in the Red Devils’ starting line-up, spent four seasons in Spain at Real Valladolid and landed in England in 2004 for £7m after three years in France with Paris Saint Germain.
