Southgate keeps tabs on Steinsson
Steinsson has spent two seasons in Dutch football with AZ Alkmaar
Middlesbrough are mulling over a move for AZ Alkmaar's Gretar Steinsson.
Boss Gareth Southgate has run the rule over the 25-year-old right-back but has yet to follow that up with a formal offer for the Iceland international.
"He's one of a number of players we've watched but we haven't got any bids in as yet for anyone in that position," Southgate told his club's website.

Blackburn seal swoop for Rigters

Rigters has signed a four-year deal with Blackburn
Blackburn Rovers have won the race to sign NAC Breda striker Maceo Rigters.
The Dutch frontman, who starred for Holland in the Under-21 European Championships in June, has signed a four-year deal at Ewood Park.
Rigters, 23, had been linked with a host of British clubs including Celtic, Rangers, Newcastle and Norwich City.
He was due to travel to Glasgow for signing talks with Celtic on Tuesday, but instead signed for Blackburn for an undisclosed fee.
Rigters scored four goals as Holland won winning the European U-21 Championships.
