AZ have completed the signing of Graziano Pellè.ALKMAAR- 22-year-old Graziano Pellè will play in Alkmaar the next five seasons. The Italy Under-21 striker, who made appearances at the U-20 European championship in Holland last June, joins AZ on a five-year deal from the Italian club Lecce. The tall striker will be unveiled to the media later today.

Graziano Pellè was visibly relieved when he entered the DSB Stadium on Tuesday morning as an AZ player for the first time. The Italian striker considers the Dutch league a challenge and hopes to follow in the footsteps of leading scorers Van Basten and Zlatan Ibrahimovic who once made a move from the Dutch league to the Italian Series A.
Pellè spent last season on loan at Series B club Cesena, where he scored ten goals in 37 matches. The striker, who is 1, 93 cm tall, was impressed by the facilities at the DSB Stadium and confirmed that he is looking forward to co-operating with coach Louis van Gaal the next few years, whom he considers the best coach in the world.
