Eto'o ends exit talk
Samuel Eto'o has ended speculation about his future after claiming he has been reassured of his place at Barcelona next season by president Joan Laporta.
Eto'o will be joined at the Camp Nou by Arsenal's Thierry Henry next season and the Cameroon international is looking forward to the prospect of helping the Catalan giants regain their La Liga title.
The former Real Mallorca striker had been tipped to leave Barca for either AC Milan, Manchester United or Liverpool this summer.
"The talk about Milan has finished," revealed Eto'o.
"Laporta and the board have said that I am staying and I have always said to them that I never thought about leaving.
"I am excited about the plans for next season. The fact that the club have made it clear that they want me is great too.
"I have a close relationship with the president and can say that I would stay here for life because of him."
