KROENKE SET FOR GUNNERS BID - REPORTStan Kroenke is reportedly days away from launching an official takeover bid for Arsenal after requesting a meeting with the Gunners board.
The American businessman - who holds a 12% share in the Gunners parent company - recently met chairman Peter Hill-Wood and managing director Keith Edelman, and has now requested to meet the other board members.
Paul Andrews, vice-president of Kroenke Sports Enterprises, earlier this week refused to say whether further investment in the Gunners was pending.
"We never comment on any future, possible investments of any kind. Each investment is evаluated based on its merit and it will be assessed on an ongoing basis."
However, Andrews admitted Kroenke is enjoying his role at the club.
"He's very bullish about it. He now looks forward to meeting the other board members," he said.
Kroenke needs to reach 30 per cent before being obliged to launch a takeover, according to Stock Exchange rules and Sky Sports sources claim he will increase his holding in the club in the next few days, with a £650million takeover bid imminent.
