Iniesta Will End His Career At Barcelona - LaportaJoan Laporta has dismissed reports that Real Madrid could tempt Andrés Iniesta to join them and insisted that the midfielder will never leave FC Barcelona.A story in Spain suggested that los Merengues were mulling over a €60m offer for the playmaker, but that has been meant with a blunt message.
"Iniesta is not for sale. He is part of the heart of Barça and is a key player for us," the Barça president explained.
"He is has incredible ability and knows that he is considered to be an inetgral part of the team.
"He is destined to end his career here.
"It is just not possible for him to leave."
Only a day after having to reiterate that Samuel Eto'o will not be leaving Camp Nou, the Barça supremo was called upon to speak out about further press speculation.
The report in marca suggested that Iniesta could view Madrid as a plausible option because he is not first choice in Frank Rijkaard's side and would be offered a pay rise.
"Iniesta does not have a price and he is very happy here," Laporta continued
"We always value our players and they earn what they deserve.
"Iniesta is highly-valued and he knows that is how he is thought of.
"For that reason there are not problems and his contract is good for both parties.
"He is a player of unique quality and we consider him to be a member of the team and the club."
