Galliani Rejects Milan Crisis Talk
Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has denied that the club are in crisis and says that the good times will soon return.
zoom - galleria The 1-0 home defeat to Empoli yesterday afternoon means that Milan are now a massive 10 points behind league-leaders and bitter local-rivals Inter.
The Rossoneri have also failed to win at home in Serie A this season and their sorry record of just two wins from eight games sees them currently sitting in 11th position.
“Talk that the club is in chaos is incorrect,” Galliani insisted. “This is a very strange time, but we don’t want to over-dramatise things.
“We will get over this with this Coach, these players and these men behind the scenes, just like we always have.
“We have been playing defensive teams who make it hard for us to attack and that’s why all our wins have come away from home.”
Galliani also blamed poor refereeing for Milan’s recent malaise and made a clear reference to yesterday’s incident involving Clarence Seedorf, when the Dutchman appeared to have his shot charged down by the hand of an Empoli defender.
“We are disappointed and not bitter, but refereeing errors have cost us six points,” Galliani pointed out.
"If we had been given the early penalty we deserved against Empoli, things could have finished differently.”
