Роберто Донадони: «Назначение Капелло говорит о силе итальянского футбола»

Роберто Донадони считает, что назначение Фабио Капелло тренером сборной Англии говорит о силе итальянского футбола.
«Возможно, наш чемпионат не самый привлекательный, но по-прежнему сильный. Мы знаем, как создать команду, с которой трудно будет сравниться и развить в игроках необходимые качества. Это доказывает тот факт, что Капелло назначен на роль спасителя Англии. Они смеются за нашими спинами и критикуют нас, а потом просят нас реорганизовать их систему», – сказал Донадони в интервью La Stampa.

Italy Coach Roberto Donadoni has launched a counter attack against French counterpart Raymond Domenech’s sniping.

The Italian tactician has questioned the footballing abilities of his ‘rival’.

“Domenech is good with words, but probably not as good when it comes to playing. If he wants, one day we could play a game and see who wins,” said Donadoni.

The French Coach has recently criticised Italy for their defensive attitude, but Donadoni believes the Azzurri have already proven they are a great team.

“In Scotland we had the perfect approach. Abroad they like to say we are a defensive team, but we didn’t look like that in Glasgow.

“It was great to reach the finals of Euro 2008, but now we need to forget about the qualifiers. We have no reason to complain about ending up in a difficult and complicated group with France, Holland and Romania.”

“We have shown we are a balanced team and will do our outmost to honor the Azzurri shirt,” he added.

The former Livorno boss will have to make several important decisions before the start of the championship in Austria and Switzerland. The final list of 23 players hasn’t yet been decided upon and there are several decisions still to be made.

“I will be following all the players in their games and then I will make my mind up. I just hope they won’t suffer any injuries,” he concluded.

Форвард «Шахтера» Криcтиано Лукарелли уехал уехал домой отмечать Рождество и Новый год, поставив своему другу и агенту Карло Палавичино точную цель – переход в «Дженоа». «Шахтер» готов отдать форварда в аренду до июня за один миллион евро. Serie A’s Coaches have named Inter as the best team in the League in response to a survey made by Italpress.

According to the bosses Udinese and Roma play the most attractive football, while the Friuli outfit have also been this season’s revelation. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who received five nominations, has been hailed as the best player followed by Kakà and Antonio Di Natale.

Milan have been outed as the most disappointing side, while most of the tacticians agreed that Italy will win Euro 2008. Only Napoli’s Edy Reja and Inter’s Roberto Mancini didn’t reply to the survey.

In a selection of some of the answers, Carlo Ancelotti chose not to comment on the most disappointing team while Renzo Ulivieri shamed his Reggina boys by naming them. Giancarlo Camolese of Livorno nominated Sebastian Giovinco alongside Ibra as the best player while Udinese’s Pasquale Marino pegged Atalanta as the surprise team.

Meanwhile, Luigi Del Neri of Atalanta and Catania’s Silvio Baldini agreed that Udinese and Italy’s form player, Di Natale, has been the best in the Division.

Former Juventus player Marco Tardelli has attacked the Old Lady for her behavior after the Calciopoli scandal.

Tardelli was previously a member of the Juventus committee but decided to leave his position during the summer because of disagreements.

“I believed there weren’t the conditions for me to stay in Turin and I think I was right to go,” he told Tuttosport.

This is not the first time Tardelli has gone against his former team, especially against Sporting Director Alessio Secco.

“Everybody knew Secco was still in contact with Luciano Moggi, but Blanc should have done something before,” he added.

“The new phone interceptions? It wasn’t a positive thing. Juventus have tried to change their skin, to change their morals and to be clean. Then these things come up…

“It’s true that Secco and Bettega can speak to whomever they want, both of them owe Moggi a lot, but this is no good,” he concluded.
