Guillermo Amor Martinez is a Spanish player, best known as Amor. He was born in Benidorm (Alicante) December 4th, 1967. He shined with FC Barcelona of the 90's when, by being one of the key pieces key in the "Dream Team" of Johan Cruyff, that won, among other titles, four consecutive league titles and Europe Championship in 1992. He has won more titles than any other player throughout FC Barcelona’s history with 19. Throughout his eleven seasons in the first team, he played a total of 564 games, thus making him third player all time in games played for FC Barcelona, behind Migueli (670) and Rexach (665).
Amor also represented Spain in Internation play as a midfielder between 1990 and 1998. He represented Spain 39 times (17 wins, 14 draws and 8 losses) and scored 4 goals. He would represent Spain in the 1994 and 1998 World Cup, Euro 92 and Euro 96.
In 1998, Amor left Barcelona to play for Fiorentina in Italy and then returned to Spain to play for CF Villareal until he stopped playing in 2002.
When Joan Laporta assumed the presidency of FC Barcelona on June 2003, he hired Amor to be the youth system director and co coordinator of the junior teams.
