zoom - galleria Informativos Telecinco claims that Raul Gonzalez Blanco is to be offered the chance to remain a Madridista long after his playing career draws to a close.
The veteran forward is to be offered a new deal which would come into effect when his current contract expires in 2010.
As part of the new offer, his contract would be renewed on an annual basis automatically, provided that he contests at least 30 matches in that time. Whether or not his off-pitch career prospects would be affected by this clause is unknown.
Raul, 30, is the club's second highest goalscorer of all time, having scored almost 200 Liga goals in his 13-year first time career.
Currently, he is attempting to carve out a space for himself in Spain's Euro 2008 squad for what could well be his last major championship.
