Valencia president Augustin Morera insists that Ronald Koeman has the full backing of the club despite the team's poor form in La Liga.
This season - and particularly since Ronald Koeman's appointment as manager - Los Che have been a shadow of the side which did so well last season and had been such a force in recent years. They have been well below par for much of the season in La Liga, in addition to crashing out of the Champions League in embarrassing fashion.
The club from southern Spain are floating around the lower end of the table and just six points off the relegation zone. However, Morera insists that the former Barcelona player will remain at the helm on the Mestalla bench for the foreseeable future.
“Koeman is our coach and we have a lot of faith in him,” the chief told Marca. “He coached the team today and he will continue to, then we will talk.
“We trust him and our players too who are some of the best that we could have.
“We need to continue to play well and try and do better in La Liga, as for the Copa we need to believe until the end.
“There is no point in dwelling on the past, what has happened has happened, now we have to work hard to improve our situation and think for the future.
“We have to think about getting a positive result against Racing on Saturday,” concluded the president.
