Although Barcelona have been linked with a keen interest in several players, with French duo Frank Ribery and Karim Benzema being a strong possibility, Beguiristáin claims that no player can be confirmed yet.
"Some negotiations are advanced," said the Barça director of football. "Some of them are more advanced than others."
Although Barça will release a press statement on Monday, Begiristain stressed after the game against Murcia that it won't be about any new addititions to the team.
"It would be good to announce some signings, but that's not the purpose of it. It will be a press statement principally to analyse what happened this season," he explained.
Meanwhile, Begiristain said that he would like former Barça player Luis Enrique to take the reins of the reserve team.
"It is up to Luis Enrique. It is his decision to guide the team that Josep Guardiola has coached this year," he concluded.
There have been suggestions that Dani Alves will be the first Barcelona signing, even though Sevilla are yet to accept a 25million offer. However, with Uefa Cup football in their future, the Andalucians are aware they will have to sell their top stars, and the Catalans could clinch the deal by throwing a promising youth team player into the mix.
