Toni Wants Italian Company At BayernLuca Toni is clearly loving life at Bayern Munich, but he has suggested that life would be even sweeter if he had some Italian companionship at the club.Toni has had a stunning first season with the Bavarians since signing from Fiorentina last summer, and is currently the top-scorer in the Bundesliga with 18 goals. He is also racking up the goals in the UEFA Cup, and his two last-gasp strikes at Getafe last week has already cemented him a place in the Bavarian club's folklore.
With rumours of a summer return to the Serie A for him refusing to die down completely, the powers that be at Bayern will be looking to pull out the stops to ensure that their new superstar feels perfectly at home at the Allianz Arena.
"It would really please me to have an Italian teammate at Bayern," revealed Toni. "I have expressed this to the club already, but we'll see if anything comes out of it.
Bayern Munich sporting director Uli Hoeness has already suggested that the club will swoop for a high profile out-of-contract central midfielder this summer, and Toni will be happy to hear that the names of Daniele De Rossi and Gennaro Gattuso are amongst the list that also includes Mathieu Flamini and Deco.
