Onwards And Upwards For Guardiola's B-Team
Barcelona’s B-team have booked their place in the third division play off final after thrashing Castillo 6-0 in the semi.
Pep Guardiola’s men were superb on the night and they were no match for their opponents who offered little resistance.
Goals from Dimas (2), Guerra (2), and a strike by Pedrito and then Chico were enough to fire the side through.
The Blaugrana played some elegant and stunning one-touch football and it may be a sign of things to come when Guardiola takes the reigns with the first team.
It wasn’t long before Dimas gave his side the lead on ten minutes with a well taken goal after being played in by Victor Vazquez.
Four minutes later it was Guerra who double his side’s advantage from close range and it was a sign of things to come as Castillo fell apart.
On the half-hour mark, Pedrito linked up with Vazquez to make it 3-0 with a brilliant effort into the near post, as Castillo were just mere spectators.
Dimas then made it 4-0 in the second half before Chico and Guerra completed the rout ten minutes from time.
The Blaugrana will now play either Barbastro or Langreo who clash on Sunday evening and the winner of the final will be promoted to the second division B.
No doubt Guardiola will be hoping to leave the B-team on a good note as he prepares to take charge at Camp Nou.
