Adebayor reconsiders Rossoneri Friday 27 June, 2008

Arsenal star Emmanuel Adebayor may have reopened the door for a Milan move after making a sensational U-turn this afternoon.
The Togolese striker became Milan’s No 1 target over recent weeks, but seemed to rule out a move by committing himself to Arsenal in a Press conference.
“I am an Arsenal player and I still have three years on my contract,” he said. “I will be staying at Arsenal whatever happens and I have lots of years ahead of me because I have a good contract at a big club.”
But just hours later, the in-demand marksman backtracked and may now be back on the Rossoneri radar.
“I have a three-year contract at Arsenal but as you know, a lot of clubs are interested in me,” he told Sky Sports News.
“Lots of teams want me and at the moment we are just going to sit down and talk so we can decide what to do.
“Nothing has been decided yet. We will make our decision next week.”
It now seems that Adebayor is waiting for final offers from Milan and Barcelona before he chooses his club.
Milan have reportedly prepared a £25m bid but are unwilling to go above that figure and may instead turn to Ronaldinho.

Galliani: Yes To Ronaldinho, No To Adebayor
Milan Vice President Adriano Galliani has once again changed the club’s transfer strategy, as he now claims that the Rossoneri are preparing to build a team with Ronaldinho, and without Emmanuel Adebayor.

This move appeared to be edging closer when it was reported in the press that a transfer was 80 per cent complete.
However Galliani has now changed his strategy again, and hints that a deal for Adebayor is now unlikely, while claiming that Ronaldinho could join if Barcelona lower their €35m asking price.
”Milan will do everything possible to sign another attacker,” Galliani told the Gazzetta dello Sport.
”We like both Adebayor and Ronaldinho but their costs are excessive.
”Ancelotti is aware of this and on Wednesday we rebuilt our strategy. Carlo is prepared to set up a Milan with Ronaldinho and without Adebayor.
"Meanwhile we have brought back Borriello and we expect a lot from him. And do not forget about Inzaghi and Pato. If we add Kakà and Seedorf, our offensive potential is superior to our rivals.”
Galliani was asked how much he would be willing to spend on Ronaldinho.
"Certainly not the €35m requested by Barça. The price must fall,” he concluded.
