Ronaldinho Reveals Barcelona NightmareRonaldinho has described his last five months at Barcelona as the ‘worst period in his life.’ The Brazilian has spoken of the unhappiness he suffered as his days at Camp Nou came to an end.
Ronaldinho didn’t have the best of season’s with the Blaugrana last term as he was injured, then dropped and finally, shipped out of the club.
Milan snapped him up as they try to attempt help Ronnie get back to his best. The multi-talented star reveals the woes he suffered over the past five months.
“The last five months? It was the worst period of my life, like a nightmare.” Ronaldinho told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
“I was injured, I couldn’t train, I couldn’t play. The only thing I could do was watch T.V on the sofa and I became sad.
“I never stayed out of action for that much before and I didn’t know what to do.
“However, my family always stood by me but the problems didn’t end there.
“People tried to stir more trouble and they began saying my brother (Roberto De Assis) was close to me because he just wanted to make money.
“So many inventions which were made up just to hurt me.
“What I don’t understand is that at one stage I was a role model for everyone, soon after I had become like Maradona as a result of the problems.
“When I go on holiday I do what I like but when the season is underway I am always serious.
“You have to enjoy life and live well if you want to be a good athlete. I always try to give my best but when the season is over I enjoy my life.
“I need to work hard to try and get back to my best. I am doing the job I love and I cannot ask for more than that.”
‘Dinho is currently in China with Brazil as he prepares to go for gold in Beijing.
